The Tail Gear Case upgrade encompasses the latest technologies for optimum setup of the tail control mechanics. The new design incorporates a series of performance enhancements including a FEA-optimized design for unprecedented strength and light-weight characteristics and high-quality radial ball bearings for accurate fit to the tail shaft and torque-tube, preventing unwanted vibrations or slop to the tail control system.
For added performance, additional bearings can be installed for a triple- or quad-bearing support to the tail shaft. Bearings are available in a pre-packaged kit (EB130X-TGCBRK) with the upgrade radial-ball bearings (681X) and replacement flanged radial-ball bearings (F681XZZ) for future maintenance, or sold separately in packages of two (2) under their corresponding sizes. Machined bearing pockets have been extended to provide additional support for the installation of the upgrade radial-ball bearings.
Important: The upgrade is a direct bolt-in design for the Blade 130 X series helicopters to enhance performance. To ensure proper operation, please review the Installation Diagram (PDF) for assembly details and tips during the install.
