500 Series Performance Boom Support Assembly for 500 Electric Series Helicopters
The KDE Direct 500 Series Performance Boom Support Assembly encompasses a series of specialized design features targeted at preventing the problematic loosening and resultant failure (telescoping) of the critical Tail Boom Support of the 500-class Electric helicopters. Due to the high-frequency vibration environment of RC helicopters, these upgrades are a necessary enhancement to maintain the structural integrity and performance of the helicopter tail mechanics and control. The Boom Support Assemblies are produced and assembled 100% in the U.S.A.; including the highest-quality, ultra-strength carbon fiber tubes manufactured in the U.S.A. to yield high-stiffness and lightweight characteristics.
The supports have been slightly extended in length to provide additional support to the tail boom and optimal tail authority for hard-3D flight, while maintaining drop-in fit geometry for easy installation.
Important: The Performance Boom Support Assembly utilizes the best materials and bonding methods to produce the optimum setup available on the market. The assemblies utilize 4.8 mm O.D. high-carbon content carbon-fiber tubes for high stiffness, ultimate strength, and minor weight addition. No central crossbraces will be required for the ultimate in tail control and authority.
The Boom Supports are fully-assembled at our production facility. Due to the high-strength epoxies used, the Boom Supports cannot be disassembled without excessive damage to the components.
